November 21, 2009: Sand Lake Road Clean-Up! If you come at 7:30 a.m. instead of 8:00, Rotary will provide you with doughnuts to eat for breakfast. The sign-up sheet is in Mr. Nadler's room. We will be meeting in the Sun-Trust Bank parking lot before heading off to the road.
December 12, 2009: Salvation Army Bell Ringing. The locations are Walmart, the Sand Lake Publix, and the IsleWorth Publix. The times are on the calendar page. The sign-up sheet for the different shifts is in Mr.Nadler's room.
Starting Now: Pink yoplait yogurt foil lids are being collected in Mr. Nadler's room. Yoplait is donating 10 cents to Susan G Komen for the Cure for every lid turned in. For every 20 lids brought in, you will receive 1 hour of community service. This will continue through December. Make sure the lids have been cleaned and the twenty lids are in a zip-lock bag.
Note: Mr. Nadler has created a new rule for the club. The new rule states that if you sign up for something and don't show up, you will not be allowed to sign up for any other event. Mr. Nadler made this new rule because almost a dozen people signed up for the Rotary Youth Celebration, and almost no one showed up. Anyone who wants to sign up for an event must check their schedules first. If after they sign up they realize that they cannot make it, they must contact the person heading the project at least a day in advance and inform them that they will not be attending.
